Instrument Compatibility
Core to the SailClever program is the sharing of NMEA data with your instrument system over a simple to set-up and reliable bluetooth link. SailClever Bluetooth can interface with any instrument package capable of outputting its data to the standard NMEA protocol. Some instruments can only send NMEA data out to SailClever. Others can also then receive back and display data send from SailClever. We call this Talkback. See the tabs below for specific information on your instrument system.
Nexus (formerly known as Silva) work particularly well with SailClever. They are very simple to connect, just plug in the bluetooth dongle using the supplied SailClever cable and hook it into the instruments power supply so it turns on and off with your instruments.
Connection
Seconds to connect using custom made data cable
Cable and dongle supplied
The black cable is the power cable. Red=positive, black=negative. We recommend that you attach it to the instrument power supply. This way it is automatically powered on and off with the instruments.
Talkback
The Nexus system is set-up for Talkback data
Send back information to the server for display (See right!)
Send back 3 custom pieces of data at any one time
You can decide what to send when so before the start of the race you can send say start countdown and then when the gun goes switch to polar speed
SailClever can read NMEA data from your B&G system.

Talkback
We are currently working on the talkback feature for B&G H2000 and H3000 hydra systems. When this is complete you will be able to send proprietary B&G talkback sentences that will contain information such as Target Boat Speed and Angle, Start Countdown, distance off the line and more!
